Teodora Bolero

Cocoon silk in Dune Silt, beige-and-black embroidery — two-tone, structured, exact.

The Teodora Bolero is a foundational study in modern Filipiniana. Defined by its square-cut silhouette and butterfly sleeves, the piece establishes proportion as its primary language — structured at the frame, softened in motion.

Sampaguita-inspired embroidery moves across the surface as a quiet rhythm, integral to the form rather than applied to it. Here the motif is carried in two tones, beige and black, where contrast becomes dialogue: light and dark articulating the embroidery, structure emphasized through opposition.

It comes two ways. The Classic keeps the two-tone embroidery as worked. The Embellished sets hand-applied beadwork into the motif, dimension added across the contrast.

Structured butterfly sleeves carry the proportion into movement. A hidden front hook closes the silhouette clean.

A signature study from The Mestizo.
